Fully 45% of consumers now ask ChatGPT or another AI tool to recommend a business, up from 6% a year earlier, according to BrightLocal. Meanwhile, 97% still read reviews before choosing a local business, and 82% read the AI-generated summaries that now sit above those reviews. Corporate buyers follow the same path: Gartner found that 45% of B2B buyers used AI during a recent purchase.

From Reputation Management to Reputation Elevation
Cleanup
Most reputation management is cleanup. Many firms claim to push the bad result down, send an invoice, move on. That approach treats your reputation as a problem to dispose of, when it is one of the most valuable assets you own.
Reputation Elevation
At Triple7Marketing, we call our approach reputation elevation. Your reputation should help you recruit good people, earn referrals, land media appearances and, someday, sell or expand the business on your terms. Our work is built around those goals. Damage control is only where it starts.
Reputation Management in New York City and on Long Island
New York raises the stakes. In a market this dense, the alternative to your business is a few blocks away or one exit down the Long Island Expressway. BrightLocal found that 68% of consumers will only consider a business rated four stars or higher, up from 55% the year before, and 47% won't use one with fewer than 20 reviews.
Local coverage carries unusual weight, too. One story on a regional news site can rank for a name for years. Our NYC reputation management work starts from that reality, and our Long Island reputation management clients in Nassau and Suffolk counties face the same dynamic in a tighter-knit market, where word travels fast.

How We Work
Define the Goal
Every engagement starts with a question: What do you need your reputation to do? Some clients are hiring and know candidates will search for them. Others want to appear on television, attract referral partners or prepare for a sale. We identify the goals first, then the obstacles standing between you and them.
Look You Up and Correct the Record
Next, we look you up the way a customer, a client, a reporter or an AI assistant would, across Google, the News tab, review sites and the answers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews give about you. We trace each problem to its source and correct what can be corrected.
Build Across Three Channels
Then we build, across three channels. Digital media means articles reported and written by journalists and placed on credible news and industry sites. Social media turns that attention into inquiries. Multimedia, including podcast and video content, gives Google and AI tools another trusted format to surface.
We also look for the stories you already have, from case wins and client results to charitable work, and put them in front of the people and platforms that matter. Most organizations have more good news than anyone outside the building knows.
We never use fake reviews or link schemes. Federal rules adopted in 2024 made buying or writing fake reviews illegal, and Google blocked 240 million fake or policy-breaking reviews that year alone.
Why Triple7Marketing?
Founder Sheena Foster is a New York journalist with more than 23 years in broadcast, print and digital newsrooms, including NY1, the city's 24-hour local news channel, as well as MSNBC and Essence. She later spent four years as editorial director at Status Labs, leading a 17-person team that produced reputation content for nearly 200 clients, among them Fortune 500 companies, venture capital firms and hedge funds.
That training shapes everything we do. We know how New York stories get pitched, assigned and covered, and what an editor will actually publish. Our clients range from Fortune 500 brands such as Kia, Pepsi and Shutterfly to founders and emerging companies. Every engagement is confidential, and we sign NDAs on request.
Measured Against Your Numbers
We measure success against the numbers you already watch: inquiries, new clients, hires, reviews and media appearances, alongside what search engines and AI tools say about you. In one recent engagement, an article we placed for a high-profile client appeared in Google News and was cited by ChatGPT within an hour of publication.
Built for the Long Term
Your goals will shift over time, whether that means a new practice area, a merger or a public role, and active legal matters can produce fresh coverage with each ruling. That is why most clients work with us on an ongoing basis rather than as a one-time fix.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does reputation management cost?
That answer depends on what you need. Most engagements are monthly retainers, and the price is driven by three things: how many articles we produce, the depth of reporting behind them and where they are placed. A post on a niche blog costs far less than placement on a major news site. We give you a clear range after a short consultation about your goals.
Can you remove a news article about me?
Rarely, and anyone who promises otherwise should make you cautious. Publishers seldom take down accurate reporting. We can request corrections or updates when coverage is wrong or outdated, pursue removal where a platform's own policies allow it, and build enough credible coverage that the article no longer defines you in search or AI results.
How long does it take to see results?
New articles can appear in Google and AI answers within hours or days. Moving an entrenched result off the first page takes longer, typically months, depending on how strong the negative source is.
Do you only work in New York?
No. Our team is based in New York City and works closely with clients across the five boroughs and Long Island, and we serve organizations nationally and around the world.
